SSO partly working was created by Pierrick Le Brun
Hi,

Single Sign On does not function quite correctly.

Scenario 1
If I login on Moodle, I am automatically connected to Joomla
And then, if disconnect from Moodle, I am automatically disconnected from Joomla
And also, if I disconnect from Joomla, then I am also disconnected from Moodle

Scenario2
But if I connect in Joomla first, I am not being connected to Moodle
However, and that is odd, shortly afterwards I receive a warning mail (from Moodle) telling me that someone got connected from another machine (with an IP6) which I suppose is the way Joomdle tries to open a session on Moodle ?
So I have to manually login a second time in Moodle..
But then, if disconnect from Moodle, I am not being disconnected from Joomla.
However if disconnect from Joomla, then I am also disconnected from Moodle.

Any logs in particular, I should use to give you more info ?

Hi.

I have never seen similar reports.

This is probably related...maybe something in your server configuration is causing the IPv6 connection, instead of the "normal" one.
I cannot really give you any more info, as I never saw something like this before. Also there's no logs to check, this would need to be investigated debugging on the site.

That domain DNS uses Cloudflare which redirects everything with their own temporary IPs (and they only use IP6) so my hosting service had to configure OpenLiteSpeed on my VPS to revert them back to the original IPs (so that Joomla could use them correctly for certain services)
I'll see with them if this could be linked.

OpenLitespeed is now correctly configured but Joomdle webservices is not functional anymore and I cannot log in Moodle anymore with my joomdle account.
So, I'm closing this thread, and I reopened my previous thread on Web services.

I found this thread from 3 years ago, that describes the very same behavior and gives the solution.

I think I found the problem... I had upgraded Moodle 4.1 to 4.1+
No such problem on a secondary Moodle 4.1 install with exactly the same Joomla, Joomdle and Litespeed setup.
