getting the single sign on to work on different domains was created by David Henry
Hi There,
We have two domains, a top level and a sub domain, like this:
website.com
moodle.website.com
We would like to have SSO from Joomla to Moodle, I've checked the documentation below but I don't see how we create the link between the two. I.e. d we set up a special menu item?
Not sure if it's relevant but here are the php settings: prnt.sc/FOcTZemgtN-v

The User hooks - Joomdle plugin is set to onUserAfterLogin by default, I'm assuming this is correct.

Hi.
If you are starting, and you don't mind, I recommend you to use a subfolder for Moodle instead of a subdomain.
Integration across domains works fine, but has some restrictions:
- Redirect-less SSO cannot be used (You can still use the default SSO that uses redirection)
- You need to use cross-domain options for the wrapper. This usually works fine, but you may find more issues than if you have Moodle on a subfolder.

SSO happens "behind the scenes" via the Joomdlehooks plugin.
So, if you create a new user (and you check that he has the 3 green checks in Joomla backend->Joomdle->Users) and log in, you should be able to open Moodle in a new tab and be already logged in.
Now, on how to link: it depends on how you plan to use Joomdle:
- It can be a simple external URL menu item pointing to Moodle URL, if you want to use Moodle in its own window
- It can also be a link to the Joomdle Wrapper view
Or you could even have no links, and only link to Moodle via Joomdle's "My courses" page.

Thanks Antonio,
I'm afraid I don't have a choice regarding the sub domain, it's another company that provide the Moodle site, we have a demo set up at the moment and will move to the live environment once we're confident everything will work.
I'll try setting up a My Courses page and see how I get on.
Do you know if it's possible to hire a Joomdle professional as I've a feeling this will get more complex once we have the basics set up?

Ok, no problem. There are many users using Joomdle like that.
