TOPIC: "In Wrapper " - Display issues

"In Wrapper " - Display issues 2 months, 3 weeks ago #1

Hi,
I have Joomla 2.5, Moodle 2.2 and Joomdle0.7 .
Moodle is set up to be accessible as a subdomain of the joomla site. No SSL yet.

'Open Moodle links in' = Wrapper causes nothing to display.

I see you talked about Joomdle ItemId in other posts. I can't figure out what ItemId stands for.

Thank you for your help

- How have you choosen to display your course?
- Have you test to see if Moodle course information is coming into Joomla OK, perhaps through a Module or Component Views.
- To you have all green ticks in the System Health Check?

The Itemid is a Joomla Id to uniquely identify content such as menu items, articles, categories, etc. These three settings allow you to get modules to display on various Joomdle views

- All green in system check.

- Through menus, I can show
- course list
- single course ( details, topics, content)

- However, clicking on the course name in 'My courses' or clicking on "Go to Course" in the enrolled course displays nothing. (Go to course uses a itemId=600)

- clicking on forum link from inside joomla site displays nothing.

I feel like i have missed a step somewhere. was i supposed to create a module and use its id as itemId in config?

Hi.

>Moodle is set up to be accessible as a subdomain of the joomla site.

This causes wrapper auto-height not to work, due to javascript security restrictions. So you get a zero-height iframe.

My Joomla site is www.SITE.org
Moodle is setup as learning.SITE.org

How would you suggest I setup moodle for the wrapper to work. Both Joomla and Moodle are not live yet, so this would be the right time to fix it.

Should the moodle be www.SITE.org/learning

Also, I would like to see a sample of moodle working inside the wrapper. Can someone give me a link to a sample or demo site.

Thanks

Yes, www.SITE.org/learning should be ok.

We are doing final work on the new demo, and I hope it will be available soon.
