Hidden categories & courses

Hi All

I have Joomdle configure and working, thanks for a great plug-in. However I have a question/problem - I have some course categories and courses than are hidden in moodle - but I have some users that have permissions (in moodle) is view hidden courses and categories. Joomdle does not list hidden categories or courses so I cannot add/show the category & course information in Joomla.

Is there a way that I can get Joomdle to view hidden course categories and courses?

Hi.

There is currently no way to do waht you want, as that would need to use the Moodle roles/capabilities in Joomla side, something that we don't do at this point.

Just to clarify, I do have different Moodle roles/capabilities setup in Moodle for the different users. If the user logs directly into Moodle they can view and access the hidden courses and categories.

In Joomla, if I use a Joomla menu item Course Category (show courses in a category) the hidden Moodle category is not listed.
I tried adding the view hidden categories & courses to the Joomdle web service role - but this still did not resolve my problem.
Would this need additional joomdle functions added to Web service?

Not really new functions, but this would need modifications in all functions returning courses and categories, to use role information.
