Hello,
I have an issue with self unenrollment. It is my understanding in moodle when you enable the self unenrollment from a course a link to unenroll shows up in the administrator block for the student. Tell me if it is supposed to show up anywhere else because it doesn't for me. Because I am using joomdle I have hidden moodle navigation including the administration block from all courses so that all the user will see is the course inside of joomla.
have you had any requests or know how to add an unenroll self button to a course intro page or anywhere that makes sense within your joomdle framework through moodle? I need my students to be able to self unenroll.
Thank you,
Mike

Hi.
You are the first one to ask about self unenrol around here
So, quick answer: not possible right now.
I think it makes sense to include this feature, so I am moving this topic to Feature Request, so we can try to add it for a future release.
Any comments on how/where you would like this to work?

Thanks for the response, and I am glad you see a need for this feature. I am using scorm format courses and I am fairly unfamiliar with the layout of other courses, but where I was wanting to put it was on the introduction slide before a scorm quiz (the slide with a short description, the title, and an enter button). I think it makes sense to put it at the beginning of any course in the main area if that is possible inside of moodle.
Thanks again,
Mike
Thanks again,

Well, I was thinking about putting it in Joomla, not Moodle, as it is where Joomdle lets users do things.
In Moodle you can already do it, although you cannot now because you removed the menu.
As a workaround maybe you could just copy the link to unerol, and manually include it in course content.
I don't know a way to show the link in Moodle course content automatically, as I have not really worked on Moodle user side of things.
My idea was to include the link in Joomdle's "my courses" view. Are you using this?

You make a good point. Plus I like your solution far better than mine. I am using the my courses view which is great by the way. That solution definitely works for me and it might be the only really good place to include it in joomdle. It does force people who want this functionality to use the my courses view, but my thought is if they need this functionality they are probably already using it.
Any idea when you might try to implement this? Not sure how long it would take you to code it.

Hi. I am not sure when I will be able to implement it, as I won't be able to work on it until at least the end of next week. I will let you know when I get something done.
