Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #1
Hi all,
I have seen every post I can find on this matter but still am unable to find my particular solution.
I have Joomla 1.5.26 with Moodle 2.2.2
I have checked the link in Site administration > Plugins > Authentication > Joomdle
I've put the link in asand since my moodle install is inside a folder called elearning within the root, I have also tried
Niether of these are giving me the green checkmark I desperately would like to see. I have no language file or multiple languages though regardless I have even tried to add the en in the Joomla default language area. Still a no go!
I have wiped out the moodle install and reinstall following all the steps from the prerequisite page to the install page but to no avail, ERROR.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated..

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #2
joomdle auth files must be placed in the moodle /auth folder
joomdle enrol files in the moodle /enrol folder
The go to Site Administration > Notifications and moodle should install them

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #3
Thanks Fernando.
I too followed the installation instructions carefully. Repeated and checked a few times and I also have the same error.
There was nothing in the instructions about the moodle/enrol folder, but I have now copied the files their as you advise. I also guessed that the moodle/block file should also be copied, so I did that also, then installed the lugins through moodle notifications.
Error still exists. Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin
I have Joomla 2.5 and moodle 2.3
Any more advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

You need to setup the auth mod in moodle. Go to Plugins > Authentications and Joomdle should appear in the list.
The block is only used when you add Jomsocial to Joomla.

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #5
Many thanks.
I had setup Authentications > Joomdle
Joomla server url is correct
Joomla version is correct
connection method is file_get_contents
Sync Users to Joomla is Yes
Auto Sell courses is Yes
and also followed this info www.joomdle.com/en/forum/r08-support/912...-joomdle-auth-plugin k
although I don't have mulit-languages setup I still entered en as the joomla default language. Still have same error.
Ah. Maybe I need another moodle plugin copied across for Auto Sell courses?

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #7
When I get this kind of error, I start from scratch.
Usually the error is due to some step you skipped or a wrong setting.
Verify the moodle URL in Joomla includes http and is exactly the same that you enter in the moodle config.php

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #8
Many thanks Fernando but
1.
the error message 'Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin' indicates the problem is the joomla URL in moodle and not the moodle URL in Joomla as you suggest.
2.
What are all the additional zip files for in the folder other_joomla_packages is there a need to install them also. There's no info in the installation instructions about them.
I'll follow the instal instructions again, but are they full and correct?

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #9
If you follow the Wiki, you should get Joomdle running. But there are other problems external to Joomdle that can raise, like permissions or firewall.
Verify all the settings are correct specially the URL's in both sites. Verify also the Joomdle user in moodle.

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin #10
Hi Fernando and thanks for the reply.
I have done all as you suggested.
Even started from scratch (3 times).
I've even tried to use cURL as a connection method. (back to file_get_contents)
I've checked the URL in my moodle config, copied it and pasted it in my configuration settings.
I carefully followed every step in prerequisites, installation and followed the system health check page.
auth_joomdle plugin now sits in root/auth/joomdle
enrol_joomdle plugning now sites in root/enrol/joomdle
Notifications has been visited and have been able to find the Joomdle plugin in Moodle.
it is Enabled with the proper URL.
There are no other steps and if there are than they weren't in the document. I would love to have my hand slapped and told that I missed something and be shown what I have missed..I am frustrated.
I do truly appreciate any and all help..
