I followed the instructions, but.....any idea why i get this error??

Hi. I guess you are talking about Moodle. Did you put joomdle/ in moodle/auth?
When do you get the error?

Antonio

Yes i believe i did.

My moodle installation is in learning, so i put the folder called joomdle in

learning/auth/ folder

This is correct? if it is, then following your instructions didnt work for me....

So, you unzipped auth-joomdle.tgz and copied the resulting joomdle/ directory to learning/auth.

Then, you visited Notifications page and obtained "Authentication plugin 'auth-joomdle' not found"?

The thing I don't understand is where this auth-joomdle come from, as the plugin is called joomdle only, not auth-joomdle. That is only the compressed file name...

Please, can you verify that joomlde/ is present in auth/ and that it contains db/,auth.php...?
As I have tested the installation process today several times, it is very strange this his happening.

Antonio

Yep its all there.

I am running the latest Joomla in case you are wondering.

Dont worry too much, I will reinstall moodle again, and see if it works this time.

Well, Joomla has nothing to do here. Or did you mean Moodle latest version? I guess is not the 2.0 one, but the stable one.

Anyway, I am very interested in this to work, as I just released the new packages and I would like to know if they have any problems.

Please, tell me how it goes if you reinstall and try again. Thanks.

I can't get Moodle to recognise the joomdle plug in. I have followed your walk-thru and installed the joomdle directory resulting from unzipping the package and copied it across to the auth dir.

my moodle installation is in a dir named after it so the joomdle directory exists at:

/public_html/moodle/auth/joomdle

However when I then return to Moodle and look at the users/authentication menu, the plug in doesn't appear to be listed.

Am I doing something dumb?

Hi. Did you visit Moodle's Notification page after copyng the joomdle directory?
That step is what make Moodle aware of the new plugin.
