[Solved] Menu Admin

I have tried to install Joomdle Alpha 5 for Joomla 1.6 but the Admin Joomdle control panel is not showing - here are the errors:

Hi there, you do not indicate if you had any problems during installation.

That said, all the error messages are point at missing French language files - which there are none for Joomdle. What happens if you change the language to English and try?

Thanks for the reply.

The errors that I have sent were view after installation. Underneath it said that installation was successful. However, I could see the modules, the plugins, I could choose the component links to add in a menu but I cannot find the component control panel under the components tab of my joomla admin.

I use the English version - do not need the other languages.

But under the language errors there is an error regarding admin menu:

I would suggest you un-install and re-try. If you cannot find the component under the admin menus there is clearly a problem with the install especially if you are using English yet it is reporting errors for FR.

I followed your previous forums and uninstalled several times, including removing all joomdle files remaining in the folders and also the joomdle tables from php side. However, each time I installed the joomdle, I always get those errors and cannot see the admin menu which is the nuclear of the whole system.

Is there a possible way to solve it?

In the meantime, I will be uninstalling again and re-installing back and I will keep you posted.

I didn't realise you had uninstalled and re-installed a few times already. I doubt doing it more times will change the result unless something else along the way changes too.

Is there a way to solve it? I am sure there is. Unfortunately, I do not know. What confuses me, is the reference to FR language files.

Do you have joomfish or anything like that installed? Are there other 3rd party extensions on your joomla?

By all means send your super admin id & password to joomla & moodle to development@joomdle.com. If I find some time over the next few days, I can have a peek.

Sorry I have not been able to have a look yet. Between work, setting up a new office, family, and moving house, Joomdle is taking a back seat.

Hi,

Just to let you know that I have just succeeded in installing Joomdle. The problem was that I did not install Joomla as root directory and so when I installed moodle within Joomla I was getting the errors. I have not re-installed Joomla in the root of another domain and Joomdle is now working smoothly. Address is www.thesynapse.info - site is still under construction but the link to Moodle works.
