Problems with joomla 1.7 and Joomdle R0.6 for Joomla 1.6/1.7

I just installed joomla 1.7 and Joomdle R0.6 for Joomla 1.6/1.7.x ALPHA 7, when I am in my configuration for joomdle on joomla it is say I am version .5, also I cannot figure out where to configure the shopping cart. Seems things are very different in this version....

Yes don't worry about Joomdle saying it's version .5, this requires changing.

You talk about the shopping cart, yet you don't mention whether you are using VM, Tienda, or something else. Similarly the version of Moodle you are using.

Do you have your shopping cart up and running for other products (ie not courses). It is always best to get each component working on its own prior to integrating with others.

As for things being different. Different than what? Joomdle for J1.5 - yes because J1.7 is very different than J1.5. Similarly Moodle 2.x is very different than Moodle 1.9+.

I am trying to use Tienda for 1.7 but can only seem to find the beta to virtue Mart. The what do you recommend as a shopping cart for 1.7? I am familiar with both. I prefer Tienda

Perhaps that is part of your problem.

At this time both Tienda and VM do not support J1.7. VM has released RC2 but it is not stable and we will only be able to integrate to VM2 once it is stable as there are problems with some of the APIs - the last I read anyway. As for Tienda, they have not even placed J1.7 on the public roadmap if you look at their projects website. The last I heard was that 1 month ago they were seeking support / feedback from the community as to whether they should move to J1.7 through their voting system.

So at this time, if you want a shopping cart on J1.7 with Joomdle integration into Moodle - there isn't one.
