Errors after Installation was created by Michele
I just installed 1.6 alpha into joomla 1.7.1 with moodle 2.0 and got this message along with the successful install message:
Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/content/35/8395935/html/administrator/components/com_joomdle/helpers/content.php on line 137
When I try to access the various areas (users, data mapping, etc.) in the backend I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function xmlrpc_encode_request() in /home/content/35/8395935/html/administrator/components/com_joomdle/helpers/content.php on line 63
Can you help me figure out where the problem lies?

Have you looked at the Joomdle System Health Check to see if all steps have been completed correctly? This would be the first place to start.

It is an xmlrpc issue with godaddy. I was silly enough to try because they said it was enabled. After three go arounds with support the answer was that xmlrpc is no longer supported on shared and I would have to move to dedicated. I will be moving to a new host instead. All of that broke my homepage for registered users only and I have to figure that out now first and then I will move the site. Is there a hosting company that works well with joomla, moodle and joomdle that you would recommend?

Yes Godaddy does not support xmlrpc - in fact they have not done so for a few years. There are a number of companies that support this in a shared hosting environment.
I use hostgator for some work and dedicated servers for other. If you visit our homepage we have a link to go
