Moodle Auth Problems was created by rheredero
Hi,

I have installed joomdle-0.6-for-joomla16-alpha7.zip, in Joomla (Version 1.6.1) and Moodle (Version 2.1.1+).

I configured both Joomla and Moodle. After System Checking in Joomla, everything is ok except from Joomdle Web Services --> Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle. I checked Moodle URL and its ok (http://192.168.1.101/Joomla3/).

I tried to enable Joomla Module "Joomdle Courses"...just having a go. And ok, i can see in my Joomla app the module and the course i had created before. When i click on the course, it's shown a description with a final "Go to course" button. And that button is the problem:

When if clic on it, the URL becomes crazy and starts a loop like

"http://192.168.1.101/Joomla3/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php/fr/index.php?option=com_joomdle&view=wrapper&moodle_page_type=course&id=2&Itemid=102", repeating once and again "index.php/fr".

Where can be the problem? Thanks in advance for your help. Kindly regards,

You will need to get the system health check OK first.

When you type in the Joomla url what does the browser resolve to? Normally it would not leave the trailing '/' in the browser.

Hi Chris,
When I type in the Joomla url (192.168.1.101/Joomla3), the browser resolve to http://192.168.1.101/Joomla3/index.php/es/

By other hand, as it seems that the problem is related to system health check FAIL, i will explain my configuration:

- Joomla: Joomdle / Control Panel / Configuration:
  • Moodle URL: http://192.168.1.92/moodle/
  • Moodle Version: Moodle 2.0.x
  • Moodle 2.0 auth token: 33d1bcc954f0f824c1f09018b922d3b2
  • Connection Method: cURL
  • Internal IP address: 192.168.1.101
  • Use redirectless SSO: Yes

- Moodle: After following Site Administration->Plugins->Web services->Overview steps, here is my configuration in
  • Joomla's URL: http://192.168.1.101/Joomla3/
  • Joomla Version: Joomla 1.6.x
  • Connection Method: cURL

I can access Joomla throught: 192.168.1.101/Joomla3
I can access Moodle throught: 192.168.1.92/moodle

Any clue? Thanks,

What happens when you take out the trailing '/' in both configurations?

http: //192.168.1.92/moodle
http: //192.168.1.101/Joomla3

Without the spaces after http:

Hi Chris,
I have tested your suggestion, and it doesn´t work: System Check fails.

I haven´t said before, but both (moodle and Joomla) are working in different machines, both of them Windows. I have tested it disabling firewalls... but nothing, System Check always fails.

Hi there.

This seems to be a problem with the multi-lang feature in Joomla. Disable the languagefilter plugin, and it should work.

I will work on making it work with multi lang for next release.

At the End!, thanks Antonio and Chris for your help.

@Antonio, then, that means that if i use joomdle i cannot use multilangage plugin?

No, at this point they are not compatible, but I hope to fix that for next release.
