Joomla 1.7 - problem with saving settings was created by maja szlajter
Hello
I installed Joomdle R0.6 for Joomla 1.6/1.7.x ALPHA 7
I have Joomla 1.7 and Moodle 2.0
On the Moodle installation and setup done it without reservation. On the Joomla files have been uploaded successfully. But I can not record the settings in the configuration of the component in Joomla. Why?
In other installed on Joomla components, files, modules, I have no problem with "save".

Disappear all the elements, for example, entered a URL. A change in the settings return to the previous position.

There is no message. In other settings, pops up the information that has not been setup.

Does Jomdle component is internally set time zone? It might be a problem here
I am Polish and apply my time zone GMT +1

Joomdle doesn't really care about timezones as this is managed by Joomla and the http server.

The only time I have noticed any components (not just joomdle) loosing their settings is when there is a timeout because I left the component / module / plugin / whatever opened too long, when the extension has not been installed successfully or if there was a javascript error. I would rule out the later as no javascript is used in the joomdle configuration screen.

after another attempt, the settings appeared - after a few hours. I do not know how many, because only this morning I work for Joomla.
I still can not make quick changes to settings. But I will keep track of what's happening.

Check the system detected an error "PHP error reporting" - 'E_DEPRECATED errors are enabled in your PHP configuration'

If all other checks are green, you can ignore this one.

After about 8 hours, there was a change of test settings. A bit long  ;)

It does not combine well with Moodle. Looking for error, but because of the length of "saving" a little, it will last;)

The E_DEPRECATED error is ok. This is due to with different versions of PHP. You should be able to proceed as normal.
