Search function

Hi,

I am running Joomla 1.7 and Joomdle 0.61 and I am having problems getting search working. The search results comes up but it only lists the information, there is not links to the Moodle site. Like if the search result was a course there should be a link to the course in Moodle or login screen if it required login.

The link points to /component/joomdle/. It should have been something like /student/moodle/.

I have search google but no luck finding a solution.

I appreciate any help with this.

Hi.

Search links do not point to Moodle, but to Joomdle views instead, like "course detail" or "course topics". Is that not working for you?

I am using the page topic format and I get the information listed in Topic 1 so I guess it is working. I was just expecting a different result, that it would actually take you to the course page in Moodle.

That is fine, I can work with that.

Thank you for a great component, it does make a big different to the look and feel of the website.

Is there a way to limited the information showing when you do a search to the information in only 'topic 1'?

i always want to look for a forum which can really help me slove somethings, i appreciate the style of the author, and i believe from here i will get what i want.

Not at the present time there isn't.

What if the information the user searches is not in topic 1 but instead instead in topic 3,4, etc. It could be confusing to the consumer if they type in "xxxxx" and the result doesn't show xxxxx ?
