Student registration under parent account

I have parent accounts set up and separate student accounts set up.

From what I have read here, in order for the parent/student relationship to be established so that a parent can register their child(ren) for moodle classes through joomdle, the student registration must be done from the parent account.

Before I have parents re-register their children from their accounts, I just want to confirm that there is no way to establish the parent to child relationship any other way for existing accounts.

And if not, is there a way to keep the parent account logged on after registering a child rather than logging the parent out and logging the new student registration in? Maybe having it say something like "John Doe has been registered, would you like to register another child?"

Hi.

You could assign the relationships yourself, but you would need to do it manually on the database, as there is currently no interface for that.
That is, unless the relationship is already established in Moodle (with the parent role). In this case, you can sync this info to joomla in Joomdle backend->Users.

Thinking again, maybe it is easier to do just that if you have not done so: assign the parents to their children in Moodle, and then transfer the info to Joomla.

I don't know why it logs you in after registering, it does not for me. Do you have auto-loggin on registration on, in joomdle config? Set it to no, and you should be fine.
