Login Problem was created by Carmen Cachia
On login I am getting these fatal errors:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2984 bytes) in /home/wilfredg/public_html/thesynapse.info/libraries/joomla/registry/registry.php on line 56
or error in attached print screen file.

Host has informed me that the error I am getting means that PHP has fully consumed it's allowed memory that has been assigned to it. Not hard disk memory, but memory as in ram which is temporary memory used on the server to help speed things along like caching. And to allow PHP more memory would simply be the same as adding more oil into a car when it's leaking oil like crazy. It probably won't help and if it does, it won't be a solution for very long.

Here are the details:

PHP Built On Linux blizzard.securenet-server.net 2.6.18-274.7.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Oct 20 16:21:01 EDT 2011 x86_64
Database Version 5.0.92-community
Database Collation utf8_general_ci
PHP Version 5.2.13
Web Server Apache
WebServer to PHP Interface cgi
Joomla! Version Joomla! 1.6.6 Stable [ Onward ] 26-Jul-2011 23:00 GMT

I am using JA Teline IV

I am suspecting it is related to Joomdle since I do not find a problem logging as admin which has not been synchronised with Moodle. There are around 3000 users currently synchronised with Moodle.

Thanks a million!

Hi.

Can the users log in fine from Moodle?
To confirm that this is related to Joomdle, disable the joomdlehooks plugin in Joomla, and try to log in.

Hi,

I am testing the login to check the problem and it seems it is a problem with Joomdle.

When I login in as a registered user of the website - www.thesynapse.info - as I have said it is taking long to login and taking up a lot of ram memory.

On trying to login using Internet Explorer browser again it took long and I noticed that although I was just logging in as a user and not trying to use Joomdle, nevertheless I got this address : www.thesynapse.info/ecme/auth/joomdle/la...x.php%3FItemid%3D490 - ecme is the name of the moodle.

How can I set joomdle to work only on trying to access the moodle and not on the initial login as user of the website?

Your help is most needed.

Hi.

If you want to disable SSO on login, just disable the joomdlehooks plugin. I think that should solve your memory problem, but you loose SSO funcinality.
What I don't understand is why you get that memory problem....

Also, you can try to enable redirect-less SSO, to see if that works better for you.
