one yearly subscription for all courses? was created by Frederique Niel
Hi Chris and Antonio,

Is there a way to have a user pay for a yearly subscription and gaining access to all courses including upcoming one? We would still want to keep individual courses for sale.

Thanks

Frédérique

Hi Frédérique.

It is possible to sell course subscriptions with Joomdle and AEC.
However, it will not work with "upcoming courses", as the moment the user pays for a plan, it's the moment in which he is assigned to the courses.

If the course does not exist yet, he will not be enroled.

You could do it manually later: when you create the new course, you add it to the AEC plan (for next users). Then you would need to manually enrol the old users in the new course.

We need something similar.

Was thinking of using this:

1. Parents register via this:
www.jpayplans.com

2. Parents register their students via Joomdle
3. Parents then assign students to courses

Set up such that non-members of the Joomla site can only see the payplans registration for the site. They pay via jpayplans / paypal and become a paid member, the Tienda store is made visible and they can then register for courses.

Only issue with this is that there can only be a charge per family instead of per student...

Solving Ron's issue sounds just a matter of integrating payplans rather than AEC which we have done. I don't think this would solve the problem of upcoming / new courses. But I have not looked in detail at payplans yet.

I am going to move this thread to feature requests.

Hi Frederique.

I was thinking again about this, and I think what you want may be possible to accomplish.

It would involve:
- Adding a new option to AEC integration, "all courses"
- Adding a new option in Moodle side of Joomdle, "use AEC all courses"
- Creating a new event handler on Joomdle, for course_created, enabled by the setting above
- This event handler would call a new web service in Joomdle on Joomla, each time a new course is created.
The web service would check if there is any AEC integration with "all courses" enabled. If so, it will add all the subscribed users of that plan to the new course.

Please write us at development@joomdle.com if you are interested in sponsoring this development.
