I have updated joomdleusercheck.php but when I try to register a user with a space in the username the system do not complete the registration but no message appear on the registration page.
So the user do not understand what is wrong and cannot continue
I tried to reinstall the standard version of the plugin but no difference. The error messages do not shows on the registration page.
I'm sure that when I installed the plugin for the first time the error message was clearly shown in the upper part of the registration page
Could you please help?

I'm now sure that error messages appear only in the back end
If I try to update an existing user with uppercase letter or spaces in the username an error messages appear
But no error appear in the registration page for new user with uppercase letter o spaces in the username field. The registration form do not save, passwords field are emptied, everything look normal but the user could not complete the registration.

As for debugging: you would need to get to the code to see if you can find the problem...

This is a Moodle restriction: it does not allow spaces in usernames.
To deal with this, we created the Joomdle user check plugin, that you can download at: www.joomdle.com/download/category/27-plugins-additional
This plugin will check username before registration, and inform user that spaces are not allowed if he tries to use one in his username.
Hey Antonio,
Great Job on this! I wan't to ask you a question. I installed the plugin, and it seems to work (user with spaces is not allowed to register), the downside is that when this happens, I get a web page without an error message and without style or other content besides the login form.
Do you have any idea? What can I do to fix this situation?
Thanks

I just tested, and I get a message telling me that spaces are not allowed.
