Migrate all Joomla Users to Moodle (bulk?) was created by javier urien
Hello,
I have a joomla instalation consisting on aprox 15000 users. I am migrating these users to Moodle using the web interface. The problem is that the user list only lists 20 per page. So I am stuck with almost 200 pages of users to select / press import to moodle / repeat.
This is very time consuming.
I have searched the forums and found some threads that report bulk upload to moodle but my understanding is that it is not what I am in need of. Also, there is no real explanation how to proceede with the bulk upload.
what I would like is to be able to increase the number of users in the list (perhaps to a 100 or all), or a button that would add every joomla user to moodle/Joomdle.
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Hi Javier.
It's on our TODO list to include a new migration method for cases like yours, but unfortunately, we have not yet worked on it, and I cannot give you an estimate.
Our idea is to have an option to sync all users (except Joomla admins) to Moodle, using page reloads.

You can raise list limit in Joomla to show more entries. However, depending on your server settings, time outs or memory limits may be reached when migrating many users at once.

Hi Antonio,
Thanks for your reply!
How can I achieve this? When I list users on the joomla component I've got a pulldown option to select the number of users per page. But with joomdle I don't have it.
Do I have to change some code?
Regards!

Joomdle uses default Joomla configuration (Default List Limit in Joomla global configuration)
