Migration/Sync and passwords

I am at the point of migrating and syncing user profiles to effect SSO, but I have run into an issue with the users Moodle Password not being the one used for logging into Joomla.

Here is what I tried:

User exists in Moodle.
I migrate the user to Joomla (which I realize creates the account with a random password)
I "sync parents from Moodle" to the Joomla user - but the password from Moodle does not seem to be moved.

Should the password move from Moodle to Joomla on that sync? I am trying to avoid having all my Moodle Users having to use the random password from Joomla and/or go through the process of resetting their passwords.

No, that is not possible, as Moodle password is crypted and cannot be read to use it in Joomla.
Syncing Moodle users to Joomla should:
- Create new account in Joomla with new password
- Email sent to user with new password
