Is there a best practice on importing a large existing userbase from moodle into Joomla? I tried selecting filtering by all users, selecting all the accounts and clicking import into Joomla. Seems to time out.


I assume i'm pushing the limits of my PHP config but i don't have any messages it just seems to time out. Do I need to enable debugging in my joomla site to get an error?

i guess my other option is to limit the results to 500 or so. and process one at a time.

Hi.

We don't have a good method to sync many users, to be honest. I think it would be a nice thing to have ... I will try to add it for next release.

As you say, the process can easily time out, because syncing each user take quite some time, so you will need to do it in small batches for now.
