Hello,

I recently upgraded Joomdle on a website to 3.1.1 and am now seeing this in the system check:

Joomdle Web Services    Error    Sorry, but you do not currently have permissions to do that (View the site administration tree (but not all the pages in it)).

This is one I have never seen before.  I did check the documentation, but I didn't see anything specific to this message.

Have others seen this?  If so, what do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi.

Is this a long running Joomdle site?

The new version assumes some things to update the permissions, and this will fail in sites configured before the Joomdle automated set up process.

In this case, you'll need to find the role for Joomdle web service, and add some things there:
Permissions:
mod/forum:viewdiscussion
moodle/calendar:manageentries
moodle/user:create
moodle/user:delete
moodle/user:viewdetails
moodle/user:viewalldetails
moodle/course:view
moodle/course:viewhiddencourses
moodle/category:viewcourselist
moodle/course:viewparticipants
moodle/site:viewparticipants
moodle/grade:viewall
moodle/site:configview
moodle/category:viewhiddencategories
moodle/role:assign
moodle/role:review
moodle/course:enrolreview
enrol/manual:enrol
enrol/manual:unenrol
enrol/manual:manage
moodle/cohort:manage
moodle/grade:managegradingforms
moodle/course:managegroups
moodle/badges:viewotherbadges
report/completion:view
moodle/user:update

Also, in Allow Role assignments tab, for the web service role add:
teachers and students

Hello,

This is a very long running Joomdle site.

I went through and fixed the roles and that solved the issue.  The site is working fine now.

Thank you!
Eric

Great, thanks for the feedback. I will add this to the docs.
