XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error registering a new user

Hi,
I have a problem with a new user registration. The registration cannot complete - returning a blank page with XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error. I use CB component to manage user's registrations.
My configuration is:
Joomla 3.4.5
Joomdle 1.0.4
Moodle 3.0

The permisions of joomdle plugins in moodle are: 755 for the folders and 644 for the files.
I don't know how to debug the error. The debug in joomla is on but show no errors.
Any advices?

If you have a subscription, please help to post your questions the appropriate forum using your username / ID created during subscription / registration.

That said, you are more than welcome to search through the community and premium forums, or use the open wiki / documentation and health check for a resolution.

So, the problem comes from the new version of joomdle?
My CB is integrated with Joomdle with the plugin and there was not a problem till now.

In my second post I give some instructions. Please follow them and let us know if that fixes the issue. I want to have some more confirmation before we release a new version with the change included.

The registration is made in joomla users and in CB users, but in moodle it apears with empty fields - no first name, email etc.

I cannot understand if it is an issue with the CB integration or the problem comes from Joomdle core. I will switch off the CB component and try to register a new user with the Joomla registration form, then write again.

If, after making the change, you no longer see the XML-RPC error, then it fixed that problem.

Now, it seems you have a different problem. Please let us know when you do the test with and without CB.

So, I just installed a brand new joomla and moodle sites.
Joomla 3.4.6
Moodle 3.0
Joomdle 1.0.4
No third part plugins.

1. When a new registration is made in joomla - the user is registered with no obvious errors.



2. The registration is made in moodle too, but profile fields are empty.



3. When I visit the moodle site with the registered test user, the only accessible page is a form to complete.



4. I can see from the admin profile that the test user in moodle is indicated as online but with empty profile fields.

5. In moodle we have a profile with correctly mapped username and password, but the other required fields are empty

Please try one thing. Edit moodle/auth/joomdle/auth.php, function create_joomdle_user_record.
In the last line, change: By:
Then, create a new user and let us know what you get.
