Blank screen after saving configuration during installation

I did a clean moodle, joomla and joomdle install on my localhost. After installing the joomdle package i tried to configurate it using the documentation you provide. However i can't seem to save the configuration: Filling in the general config tab and clicking on save results in a blank screen.
When i use the save and close option i get the control panel. Clicking the configuration tile here results in a blank screen again.
I really would like to try the Joomdle package but i can't seem to get it working. Can you help me out here please?

Blank screen usually means a PHP fatal error. Enable debugging and check your logs for any clue.

Thanks Antonio. My initial configuration was on localhost with MAMP. That didn't seem to work. Now the configuration is live on a test environment on the web and it works perfect (so far )after having the provider enabled xmlrpc.
