Yesterday, we took the first steps to install an SSL certificate. It involved rebooting our server. We have not yet installed the cert but ever since then, the site crashes when you try to log in. Just a blank white page shows.

Usually a blank page indicates a PHP error.
Try enabling more error reporting, and checking logs for any clues.
