Hi Antonio

I used the upgrade method outlined in this video.

I was attempting to upgrade from Moodle 3.1.3 to 3.1.4.

1) Made mysql dump of Moodle database
2) Downloaded my Moodle folder & Moodle data folder
3) In my public html folder I renamed my Moodle folder to Moodle313
4) I uploaded moodel 3.1.4 to my public html folder and extracted it
5) I took the config.php file from the Moodle folder from step2 and put it in my new Moodle folder
6) I refreshed my site finalbug.net/moodle and was told that I could upgrade and clicked continue
7) I got as far as the first screen with all the checks that were OK.
8) When I got to the next screen with all the themes/plugins etc I clicked OK*

Now I am seeing "Authentication plugin joomdle not found."
When I go here:
www.finalbug.net/moodle/
I suspect that at the very least i should have upgraded the Joomdle Plugin before proceeding to step 8

kindly advise

Paul

Hi Paul.

There is a step missing in that upgrade sequence:
5a) Copy any plugins you may have installed, from old Moodle folder to new one.
In this case, if it only complains about Joomdle, I guess this is the only 3rd party one you are using.

So, just copy the folder now and it should be ok. You can also just install the Joomdle auth plugin again, and it will keep configuration.

Hi Antonio

Ok I did as you suggested and it seemed as if both:

Joomdle enrol_joomdle & Joomdle auth_joomdle are installed properly!
However I was not able to login here:
www.finalbug.net/moodle/auth/joomdle/joo...gin.php?login=moodle
But could get in to Moodle by logging in into Joomla first:
www.finalbug.net
And then going to my Moodle page in the same browser!
www.finalbug.net/moodle

When attempting to login here:
www.finalbug.net/moodle/auth/joomdle/joo...gin.php?login=moodle
I get redirected to the normal Joomla login page…

What I do see briefly where I enter the URL and before the redirect is this:

www.finalbug.net/components/com_joomdle/...ogin.php?errorcode=3

Any ideas what is going on?

thanks

Paul
