A problem with Moodle user profile fields when syncing them to joomla

Hi,

I have some custom user fields both in Moodle and Joomla and I have created the required mappings in Joomdle. My fields collation in both databases is utf8mb4_general_ci and all values are in a unicode language.

The problem is that when I click on "Sync Joomla profiles" button in Joomdle it syncs all fields to Joomla correctly except for user fields. They become question marks (like ?????) both in Moodle and Joomla!!

But when I click on "Sync Moodle profiles" button it works without this problem.

Please help me.

I am not able to replicate this on my testing environment: fields were synced normally.
So I am not sure what can be going on at your site....
