If you disable the plugin, you'll lose SSO and user sync.

I disabled the user hooks plugin in joomla but it works on Moodle yet and when I login to Moodle I automatically logged into joomla.

When a large number of users (for example 3000 users) log into the Moodle at the same time or in few minutes, SSO impacts site performance.
Please add an ability to disable SSO in Moodle.

However, disabling SSO would not really help: the problem is that the password check for Joomdle users that log into Moodle is performed in Joomla, and that's what is causing performance issues.
If you are not using SSO, you should have Moodle users with manual auth, and not Joomdle. That would make Moodle authentication happen in Moodle, with no connection to Joomla.

Thanks Antonio. If I hide or disable the moodle login page and force users to always log into joomla, will the problem be solved?
