Issue upgrading to version 4.2.1 was created by Paul Hart
I am trying to upgrade my Moodle copy to version 4.2.1
On the server checks screen it has to items with "Check" against them.
The first says - version 8.0 is required and you are running 5.7.39
The second says - PHP setting max_input_vars must be at least 5000.
For the second one, I have tried adding the settings to the .htaccess file, and it broke the site. So I thought I would try the php.ini, but that file does not exist. So I have no idea how I am going to fix this one.
The first item, I'm not really sure what I need to do here.
Would really appreciate some help on this one.

Hi.
That is a Moodle issue, not related to Joomdle.
What it says is that you need a newer Mysql, as you are running an outdated version. Newer Moodle needs a pretty recent Mysql server.
