using the wrapper? was created by red
i cant seem to get the wrapper to work.
it only leads me to a page with an iframe that contains another copy of my own site, no matter which moodle url i put inside the menu item.
i may be missing something here...

For the wrapper there are a few things you can do but in general each menu item / module can specify what you want.
On this site under Demo. You will notice:
1) Modules --> if you choose "Demo/Course List" or "Demo/Modules", you will see two modules in the left position. The 2nd module has been set to open the link in a wrapper in the Module Parameters (module manager). "Open Moodle in" and choose "Wrapper"
2) Menu item wrapper --> "Demo/Course News". Edit the menu item, under Parameters (Component) you will see "Open Moodle links in". Chose "Wrapper". Click on the links presented and it will display the Moodle content in a wrapper. This one is not so pretty yet.
3) "Course in a Wrapper" near the bottom --> this is done using the normal joomla com_wrapper option
4) Under the component parameters there is an option to show everything in a wrapper. This one is less tested at the moment.
I will get the documentation updated for this soon.

yes i have seen all of these,
but the joomdle wrapper just shows my my own joomla site within the iframe. i cant be able to change it to the moodle front page or the user profile for instance.
i can see its working for you, but it doesn't tell me how you configured it, which is probably my problem..
its not that important since im not going to use it, but i thought i would mention i cant get it to show anything other than the joomla site itself.
i thought about an idea for sorting an easy inline wrapper (no iframe):
1) add a new user to moodle and grant it guest-like permissions
2) make a new moodle theme without the header and footer, and hide the moodle blocks with a new clean css.
3) set moodle to enable student themes, and select this theme for the joomla account
4) include the moodle php file in the joomla wrapper.
this could work...

Hi. I guess you are testing with the module.
If you change config to open module links in same or new window instead of the wrapper, do the SSO authentication work?
I remember that the same happened to me when I was coding the wrapper feature, but cannot remember the issue.
About your idea for an inline wrapper, I will look at it and comment.

It seems more people are having this problem. If you give me details, I can try to replicate your problem.
Things I guess you have donde:
- Logged in Joomla with user
- Clicked on module link pointing to Moodle course
- You get Joomla inside Joomla
Is that right?

Another question: did you activate the alternative login URL in Moodle? And the require users to login one?

If you activated those two options, please turn them off to see what you get.
