Esto no tiene nada que ver con tipos MIME. Lo que necesitas es la extensión XML-RPC para PHP, instalar el paquete.
Puedes pasarles esta URL a ver si se enteran de lo que les pides:

Volví a escribirles, esta vez con otra persona, y me dijeron que está instalado el xmlrpc que quizás el código tenga algún problema.

Es la segunda vez que veo un mensaje como ese de una empresa de hosting. Se ve que no se enteran.

No se que más les puedes decir... Diles que en tu página de php info deberías tener un bloque xmlrpc que indica que la extensión está instalada, y no lo tienes.
Aparte de eso no se que más les puedes decir, si no se quieren enterar de lo que les pides...

Te puedo enviar la dirección con el php info? para verificar?

Si ya buscaste en el fichero y no estaba: solo encontraste las referencias que siempre estásn cuando no lo tienes instalado.
Mira, te mando yo mi php info (veras como si hay un bloque xmlrpc) y asi se los mandas a ellos los dos y les dicen que miren la diferencia.

Pues no se que significa eso que te dicen, pero si estás usando PHP, para que te vale XMLRPC en perl?

Yo les diria que quiero XMLRPC en PHP, no en PERL.
Más que eso, no sabría que más decirles, aparte de cambiar de hosting, porque el soporte me parece un poco regular...
