I see Moodle log in screen when I click on course

Hi

I think I am a bit confused about how Joomdle works. I set up my Moodle as per yur instructions and ( eventually) I got Joomla to list the courses. But when I click on one of the course links, the Moodle log-in page is displayed: I don't get into the Moodle.

But I can log into Moodle in the usual way and was surprised to see this in one of your forum replies:

Hi. Joomdle users can not enter to Moodle directly.
They always have to go through Joomla first to authenticate, as Moodle can only have one auth type, and this is Joomdle.

So do I have to "switch off" the usual manual log in for Joomdle to work- and if so how?

Hi. Nothing to switch off, it's just that users created through Joomdle (that is: created in Joomla with joomdlehooks plugin being enabled so they are created at the same time) cannot login directly into Moodle.

What I suspect is that you created accounts on both Joomla and Moodle.
Do you have Joomdle latest version (all plugins) installed both at Moodle and Joomla?

No I was careful to make a couple of "new accounts" in Joomla- ie with no access to moodle and then try to log in with them. I have only recently tried Joomdle so I guess it is likely I am using am up to date version.

But I will go back to Joomla and try again.

I wondered if the problem was something like Firefox "remembering" my Moodle details and kicking in when Moodle started.

ps A weird thing!

When I click on the course link I get the Moodle log-in screen with my usual username filled in - as might be expected.
When I use that to log in, instead of being taken to Moodle's front page I enter the course that I clicked in Joomla! . So something is working; I don't know what . I checked to see if IE and Firefox are the same - and they are.
Any thoughts?
