Is there a way to get the Paypal payments to work from a wrapper?

I don't know what you refer to.
I guess you mean having Moodle in a wrapper, but not having Paypal in a wrapper, is that correct?
I have almost always tested with wrapper enabled and everything worked...
Which problems are you having?

If I run Moodle in a wrapper and charge for a class through Paypal when I click on the Send payment via Paypal button it takes me to Paypal for payment as it should but Paypal reports an error. If I do it outside of the wrapper it works fine. Here is the like to see what I am talking about
www.surveyorcentral.com/school
You can use User=temp Pass=temp but if you go to
www.surveyorcentral.com/moodle/
it works as it should.

Hi.
Are you talking about selling courses via moodle itself instead of using Virtuemart?

Yes both of those options are using Moodle's paypal payment method.
I didn't see any difference when logged in using the ID / PW you provided, although, I didn't go all the way to make payment. I did however, press continue to pay via credit card and stopped short of confirmation.
My first thoughts would be does Moodle know enough about a Joomdle user to pass the information through to Paypal? It does appear as though it does as I can see the temp first name and last name being passed to paypal as well as the email address.
So not sure at which point you are seeing an error message.

Yes, using Moodle Paypal not Virtuemart. Should I use Virtuemart instead?

You have to click on the Send Payment via Paypal button in the wrapper which is
www.surveyorcentral.com/school
to see the error reported by Paypal.

I tried using Chrome and it worked fine. When I try IE I get the same error. Thus it is something to do with the IE settings / configuration or an IE incompatibility.
If you go to the IE Tools/Internet Options/Privacy and change the settings from Medium to Low it should work OK - at least it did for me.
