Hi there,
What your asking is one of the basic functions of Joomdle, called Single-sign-on (SSO). You can read more about it in the features section of the Joomdle documentation - www.joomdle.com/wiki/Features .
If your users were created before you installed Joomdle, then they would have different ID/PW until your go through a syncronisation process. You will notice the tab in the Joomdle configuration called users which is to address such situations. Have a look in these locations and reply back with further questions.

Hello Chris!
Thanks for the reply Chris. the SSO seems not working right.. i created a new user (joomdle 0.24 is installed already, added the user using Joomla User Manager at the Back-end). i have viewed the Users tab in joomdle component.. Joomla Account,Moodle Account,Joomdle Account are checked..
First: (Joomla Side)
i can log in to joomla with the newly created user but when i click a course.. a login box from moodle appears.. when i try to login using the same user and password i get denied.. Invalid login, please try again
Second: (Moodle Side)
when i login in moodle using the created account joomla.. Invalid login, please try again
when i logged in as an Admin in moodle side.. the user was created and it exist.
and when..
-i create a user in Moodle side..
-and use the Joomdle Component, in the Users tab "add user to joomla, add user to joomdle"
-i enabled the newly created user in Joomla User Manager. so user exist in joomla side now.
-i tried to login in joomla side using the user and password... i get denied.. Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
Question:
Are the passwords different in Moodle side and Joomla side when i create a user in Joomla side and vice versa? if so.. how can i make it the same?
i used:
Joomla 1.5.18 (fresh install, no users yet)
Moodle 1.9.9 (fresh install, no users yet)
Joomdle 0.24
joomla and moodle are in the same domain..
joomla.mydomainname.com <- Joomla installation
joomla.mydomainname.com/moodle <- Moodle installation

Naturally, you can do this as JFusions "job" is focused on centralised logins. However, you may have problems at some time because there is no guarantee that JFusion and Joomdle will not conflict in some way.
When Joomdle's SSO is installed properly, you will not need to use JFusion, as Joomdle supports SSO. Also, you do not login from Moodle but only through Joomla. Moodle has the ability to be configured to allow authentication from an remote / application such as LDAP, Active Directory, or Joomdle. In these cases the passwords are not stored in Moodle to prevent the users having to manage two sets of passwords.

I am having the exact same issues, but don't want to use JFusion. How can I solve this?
I have verified that the user id I am using is recognized as a Joomla and Moodle (in the Joomdle config-> Users. When I logout of both for a test, and then log into Joomla, and then go to a Moodle course, I am challenged for a password. This should not be.
My Joomdle installation looks perfect.
What can I do?

Hi,
Please open a new thread in the R0.25 forum (I guees you are using that, if not you should upgrade).
There tell us if the ystem check is showing everything ok.
If so, try creating a new user in Joomla, and see if it gets created in Moodle.
If so, test with that user.
Antonio
