mmm...then I have no clue what can be going on 
If you have set additional data source to None, it should just take the values from Joomla. If it does not, I guess there is some problem accessing Joomla web services...
I will tell you if I can think of anything else.

Resolved
Eliminated final slash on the configuration of moodle url on Joomdle setup.
Set Joomdle parameter "Auto create Moodle users" to yes.
Set Joomdle courses module parameter "Link to" to Course description.
