[Solved] Issues with login using IE was created by Eric vanBok
I have Joomla 1.5.21 and Joomdle 0.3 installed. We are also using Community Builder 1.2.3 and everything is green in the Joomdle system cehck.
I seem to be having one issue when users of IE login. They get an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" page. The URL at the time is:
www.ourwebsite.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=login
Now if they refresh the page, or hit the browsers back button they are returned to the website and are logged in fine.
If users of Chrome or Firefox login, they login fine but their URL after long is:
www.ourwebsite.com/%05%A1%D1%D1%C0%E8%BC...C9%CC%B9%8D%BD%B4%BC
If I uninstall Joomdle then the login process works normal regardless of the browser and the URLs in Chrome and Firefox appear normal.
Does anyone have any thoughts what might be going wrong with my install?

Hi.
I don't have IE, so I don't know if there are any problems with it (although I don't think so, as no users as reported them).
You say in Firefox they login ok but got a strange url: they are shown a blank page with that url or what?

Also, try using the normal joomla login module instead of the CB one to see if that helps.

In Firefox and Chrome when I get that stranger URL I don't get a blank page. I get the proper pages. Very odd.
I did temporarily swap out the login module with the default Joomla one and the logins work fine. So it is indeed the Community Builder login module that is the culprit to some degree.
Have any thoughts on what is causing the issue with the CB login module?

I am not sure, as I have not had the time yet do try to replicate the problem locally.
Will do it tomorrow and let you know.

Hi.
I finally installed it locally and could replicate the problem.
I modified the joomdlehooks plugin to be compatible with the CB login module. I attach the code in case you can test. Just overwrite plugins/user/joomdlehooks.php with the attached file (remove the additional txt extension, added for the forum)
Please test and comment.
