Sessions not being shared (solved - for info) was created by Ruth Cheesley
Hi all,

NOTE:
When I started writing this I was having problems which I subsequently resolved, but thought it might be a useful post for others.

Perhaps I'm missing something but I seem to have everything running groovy, but when I have a user logged in to the Joomla! site I would expect when they navigate to the Moodle wrapper, they would be logged in to Moodle?

The user in question has three ticks (joomla user, moodle user, joomdle user) in the back end, so I'm not quite user why the user is not logged in? I can manually log them into Moodle however when I do, it asks me to populate certain fields which should already be populated from Joomdle - Surname and Email for example.

Could this be why it's not logging them in?

Assuming that this may be the case, I linked Joomdle to Virtuemart (as I'm using that as the payment gateway) and set up the data mapping to link the fields in Moodle to those in Virtuemart, however was still being prompted to log in when arriving at the wrapper. I then synchronised the profiles with moodle again, and it seems to be working now, however the user doesn't have access to the courses they've purchased :(.

Solve one problem and find another!

Hi.

I am not really sure what your problems may be, as this is basic funcionality and has been tested lots of times on R0.3, with no users reporting problems like yours.

To test, set auto create users to on on Joomdle.
Then create a new user in Joomla and see if it got auto-created in Moodle. Then use this user to test SSO and course enrolments.

The problem is that users are not being enrolled - they're being created no problem. Have opened a different post about it as the above was just because I didn't find the information that you needed to re-synch profiles after you set up mapping, to get the data sharing going on.
