Course View was created by mick w
Hello - Firstly just wanted to say what a fantastic exntension! Every credit to the developer(s), this is an awesome piece of work.
I have a couple of quick questions.
I've installed latest version of Joomdle into my Joomla site. I've set the joomla menu link to joomdle - course categories - this works fine.As soon as the menu link is clicked the course categories page appears - first question can I change the text that appears ie 'Course categories' to something else? How would I do this?
Then, I click on the category to pick up my course - no problem here, the course is uploaded and displays.
Hwowever when I click on a course the course summary appears - what also appears is
The Start Date
Enrolment start Date
Enrolement end dtae
Enrolement duartion
Topics ...ie 1
Basically I dont want the above to display ie from Start Date through to Topics - I just want the course summary and the enrolment button to appear
Can this be done?
Many Thanks
Mike.

Hi. Thanks for your comments.
As for your questions:
- Chainging texts: this would involve changing the Joomdle language files
- Remove fields: not without touching code: tou would need to edit the detail view template file, to remove the fields you don't want.
I shall add "make all fields configurable" to my lists of TODO tasks.
Antonio

Hi Antonio - thanks for coming back so quickly.
Just to let you know that the removing fields issue was resolved by simply taking out the relevant code from the view template file - thanks for this.
Re changing the texts - I did try to do this through editing the Moodle Language file - but this didn't work - could you give me a little more guidance on where exactly I can find the joomdle language files please?
Many Thanks
Mike.
PS Just wanted to add that when I installed joomdle the error meesages came up (ie dummy table) - by following your SQL commands this worked perfectly !!!!
I'm so impressed by this extension that I'm going to give you an awesome review on the joomla extensions site ...something I've never done before..!!! thanks again - Mike

Hi. Thanks again for your comments and your (future) review, it really helps.
As for changing texts: you need to do this in joomdle language files in Joomla.
If you want to change strings in front end, you would edit language/en-GB/en-GB.com_joomdle.ini
Hope that helps,
Antonio

Thanks again Antonio
I've just added a review onto the Joomla site - should be up once the Admin has reviewed it. I'm sure you'll be pleased - the praise is well deserved
Regards Mike.
