community builder profiles was created by beth
I am trying to map community builder profile to moodle and I do not have the additional moodle info coming up as a choice for moodle. I have some extra info in moodle profile which is same as the fields created in cb profile. Where does joomdle pull the fields for moodle profile? I am using moodle 1.99 and cb 1.23 and joomla 1.5.22. Is there a way in .4 version joomdle to create custom profiles? I see there is an icon for it but I have no way to create one. Also when new user is created they can no longer edit their contact info in joomla/cb profile when they are created using joomdle. Is there something I am missing? I really like your software and it is create to be able to buy course in virtuemart and auto get enrolled in it and access it.

Hi.
Did you define CB as additional data source?
Did you define the mappings you need in Joomdle?
Custom profiles is for JSPT integration.

I did define cb as additional data source. CB fields show up when I go to map and custom ones in moodle do not show as choice to map cb to eventhough they are there on users profile in moodle. Is there something I need to do w moodle code? or create mapppings in cb? Your interface it is simple to map and it looks like cb stuff shows up ok. How is joomdle mapped to joomla profile?

Are you talking about moodle custom fields? Those are not supported yet.

yes custom moodle fields in profile. Also in cb profile not as many options available when the joomdle is turned on, ie if someone logons and registers in site and cb profile can be edited but with joomdle added it cannot all be edited by the user, so it is customized profile in joomla created by cb
Thank you!

Hi.
Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean, aside from asking for "moodle custom fields" support.
Can you explain the other issue?

when a student registers and logons in when joomdle is enabled what they can edit in their profile is different than when they it is just cb profile. One tab is missing with additional info and they cannot edit their contact info like they can before joomdle is enabled. this is joomla/cb. I understand what is going on in moodle that the additional fields are not supported yet. so if a member changes their address, say move to new house they cannot edit that info. When I go to map to moodle, those fields are there as choices to map to moodle. so what I am now asking is there something in joomdle that defaults to joomla profile and not cb profile? that might be the problem I am running into.

Hi there,
I have done a test of CB with Joomdle. I created new fields in CB. I created a new Tab and assigned the new fields to the new Tab. I published the CB Joomdle plug-in. The additional Tab is showing and user is able to edit his profile including the new Tab.
When you say you enable Joomdle, do you mean the Joomdlehooks plugin installed in CB plugin management?
When you say additional info, what Tab are you referring to? Is this additional fields you created (like I did) or for a specific extension plugin?
Also you indicate the user cannot edit their profile. Could the user log in successfully? Maybe they are viewing a profile not necessarily their own?

it is additional info tab should be like what you did, I will check to see if for some reason it is not the correct profile. Thank you, I will post tonight once I have more time to work on it.
