Please help this Joomdle newbie

I need help please. I have a Joomla site and wanted to integrate Joomdle into it, as I didn't want a separate moodle site, when I try to complete a system check in the joomdle component I get this message and I have enable web services in the Global Configuration, but joomdle still isn't speaking to joomla. I have no idea what to do and would love to get this site finished. The message I get is - Received empty response from Moodle

What version of Joomdle, Joomla and Moodle are you using?

It is better to mention which version u r trying as CHRIS asked. I am interested to know .. did u make necessary change ( prerequisite) in moodle to fit with joomdle as described as joomdle documentation?
