Hi Antonio - congratulations on the latest release of joomdle 0.5 - I've tried to install with Moodle 2.0 and everything looks great apart from the fact that I've hit an old problem which we discussed previoulsy (please see thread below)

Basically when I click on a 'go to course' button its redirecting me back to my home page rather than into the course.

You did mention that this may be connected with the Joomla login page and that this issue would be corrected in the ipdate ie 0.5

Am I doing something wrong or would it be possible to expand on the solution you indicated previously please?

Once again congrats on 0.5 - another piece of excelent work from you and your team

Regards

Mike.

Hello,

I've installed Joomdle into my Joomla site and its working a treat...

Just one small quirk I've noticed.

I have my joomla menu link set to open on course Categories.I then select a cteagory which opens up the courses.Then, I click on the course which displays 'Enrol into Course' - no problem here as it goes to the log in screen.

Then,the quirk happens..after I log in I'm directed to the Home Page of my web site rather than the course page - am I doing something wrong here?

Any suggestions/ideas wwelcome

Thanks

Mike W

Antonio ..this was your response...

Hi.

I took a look and I think I have fixed it, when using Joomla normal login page.

The fix will go with next release. As it uses new code not present in R0.41, it would be better to wait for next release to upgrade.

If you need to do it before then, tell me and I will try to explain the changes needed.

Antonio

I tested and can confirm what you describe.

Will try to find the problem and let you know.

Hi again.

While testing I noticed one thing:
- In your previos thread, you talked about returning from "Enrol". I tested that now and it seems to be working fine for me.

- In this thread you talk about "Go to course" button, which as you describe lands you to home page, when clicked as guest, without even asking you to log in. This is a different bug.

Hi again.

I have made a change that seems to fix the "go to course" button issue.

It would be great if you can apply it to see if it works for you.

In administrator/components/com_joomdle/helpers/content.php, function get_course_url().
After:
$username = $user->username;
Add:
if (!$user->id)
$username = 'guest';

Hi Antonio

You are correct - my previous post did relate to a slightly different issue...apologies for any confusion...!!!!

My current problem is/was the 'go To course' button - sepeerate from Enrole to course

I'll try your solution and will report back asap

Thanks again
