Intalled by the book :). checked and double checked and the error remains.

"Received empty response in Joomdle Web Service" appears when we perform a system check.

Follows " www.joomdle.com/wiki/System_health_check " and applied all suggestions. :(

Browse the forums, official and unofficial.

Also noticed the guide does not match with config screens in moodle. For instance:

1) You must enable the Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle Admin->Users->Authentication->Manage Authentication.
- And it happens that there is no "Admin->Users->Authentication->Manage Authentication" in Admin->Users.

Same happend with: Moodle networking is not enabled. There is no option to enable networking in Moodle Admin->Networking->Settings it only shows something about a Public Key and no other config option is available.

Do you think is there any step by step advice that you would kindly share with us?

Installed products are Joomla 1.5, Moodle 2.0 and Joomdle 0.5.

Thanks in advanced.

Hi,

Thanks to roney.du, great advice, very useful and simple.:)

On Moodle 2.0

1) search for mnet on moodle and checked everything was configured correctly.
2) search for webservice and checked configuration and service activation too.
3) search for network and checked it was ON.
4) search for authentication and checked parameters were configured correctly.

On Joomla 1.5.x

1) uninstall joomdle.
2) uninstall extended registration component.
3) download joomdle 0.5 once again from website.
4) reinstall joomdle on joomla.
5) reconfigur joomdle
6) perform a system check

Soo a new message saying: Joomla url was missconfigured on Joomdle in Moodle.

Loged in to Moodle went to Admin->Plugins->Authentication->Manage Autentication->Joomdle->Settings

Realized site name was diferent from joomdle in joomla. Make them match, save and return to joomla.

Perform another system chek and see everithing was running just FINE.B)

Now we can go on.

Thankyou soo much once again.

Hi, I have the same problem and I've gone through all the steps you recommended. I still get the same error message:
Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle
I've checked everything about five times and cannot find what I'm doing wrong.
In Moodle my site is configured as: www.mysite.com (joomdle authentication plugin)
and in Joomdle Joomla (Moodle URL) it has to be: www.mysite.com/moodle

Not sure what you meant by: ...Realized site name was diferent from joomdle in joomla. Make them match, save and return to joomla."
Many thanks for your assistance in advance.

Hi again - sorry, you were right - it was the http:// prefix that made all the difference. It seems to be ok now.
Cheers
