Enrolling users into Moodle through Joomla was created by Derek Henderson
Hi - we are trying to use the Joomla integration to manually create users into Moodle.

Can Joomdle be used to manually add Joomla users to Moodle so they have SSO? I know it can automatically do it - but not sure about manually.

Thanks

Sorry I do not quite understand your question. What do you mean by manually? What process are you trying to implement?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this - off for a few days.

What we want is for users to be able to login into joomla - then for some users only have a login in Moodle - e.g. after they have paid a fee.

So we are wondering if we can create a button to trigger a login / authentication into Moodle through Joomla..

Thanks

This is already a part of Joomdle depending on how you wish to pay and configure Joomdle. If you use Virtuemart, Tienda (both Joomla commerce extensions) or Moodles paypal integration, when you the student purchases a course, you can configure Joomdle to enroll the students into the course. Other Joomla users will not be enrolled.

You can learn more about it in the Joomdle Document (Wiki ) from the top menu of this site.

It is of course but that requires customisation for each payment option in VM. The default that has been created is using paypal forms. Some work has been done on authorise.net and one of the banks. Unfortunately, the VM doesn't allow for easy integration to all their payment plugins.

For Tienda, we only needed to integrate once using the Tienda APIs. Then no matter which payment gateway / solution you use from Tienda, the Joomdle code will get kicked off. Much cleaner and only need to do this once.

Hi what we want is to enable SSO for users only in a certain Group (using Joomla 1.6).

For example when the user gets into group ABC they have single sign on into Moodle...
