Trying to upload Joomdle o.51 to joomla site I receive the message: no xml setup file. Am I doing something wrong? I tried it several times.

As Antonio points out, try unzipping the zip file. Then use the Joomla installer, to install the file joomdle-joomla-package.zip

The zipped releasefile includes both Joomla and Moodle files. You have to unzip the downloaded file and install mentioned package from unzipped folders. The releasefile containes a zipped Joomdle file that can be used by Extension Manager.
You have to Upgrade Moodle files for Joomdle-plugin too. I did it with FTP and overwrite old files.
