Im not sure if i am fully to grips with the concept of Moodle & Joomdle, i wonder if i could tell you what i have in mind and if you could let me know if it is possible using them.
I am currently working on joomla 1.5 and wish to create a course system i.e. pages of information with questions, whereby the user could:
a) Purchase a course using Tienda. they would then be send their login details or, if logged in to the joomla account it would open up access to the course on their account
b) Cycle through the pages of the course but be forced to answer a question at the bottom of each page before continuing to the next page
c) login and out of their account and have the system remember what page they were on in the course so that when they login the next time, the answers are saved and they are directed to the same page they left on
d) be able to purchase multiple courses and have the system remember which page they are on each course
e) Have the answers from each question, on each page, display as a forum post
f) Add audio to be streamed from each page of the course
g) Use Css to style the pages where the course is seen to make it fit in with the website template
h) Embed the course in a Joomla article
Thanks in advance for any help

It would be truly amazing if Joomdle could do all that - I want it too
a) Purchase a course using Tienda. they would then be send their login details or, if logged in to the joomla account it would open up access to the course on their account
Yes, you can use VM or Tienda to purchase Moodle courses. The user / student would be auto-enrolled in the course and sent a link. The user registration in Joomla would be handled by Tienda / VM during the shopping experience - however, it is seamless to the user.
b) Cycle through the pages of the course but be forced to answer a question at the bottom of each page before continuing to the next page
This is really up to the course materials that you design - whether you use pure Moodle content pages or some form of course development software to build SCORM compliant materials. Joomdle is not used to build the course content but rather integrate Moodle and Joomla.
c) login and out of their account and have the system remember what page they were on in the course so that when they login the next time, the answers are saved and they are directed to the same page they left on
As above, this is up to your course content and the tools you use to build the courseware. For example, I have some tools that produce SCORM compliant flash. When I load that into moodle, it remembers where they student left off. But also, you can use Moodles learning objectives and learning paths to help with this.
d) be able to purchase multiple courses and have the system remember which page they are on each course
Purchasing multiple courses is managed by Tienda / Joomdle integration. The page remember is discussed above.
e) Have the answers from each question, on each page, display as a forum post
f) Add audio to be streamed from each page of the course
Again, based on your content development. You may wish to spend some time going through Moodle and courseware development.
g) Use Css to style the pages where the course is seen to make it fit in with the website template
Both Joomla and Moodle use templates which can be styled with CSS. Depending on how you build your courseware, you can use those templates, additional css or have the look defined by the couseware development.
h) Embed the course in a Joomla article
This is not possible if you are using Moodle today. It can be made to look like it was a Joomla page, but not embedded in an article. If you use a Joomla based Quiz system rather than Moodle, then yes. But then you are not gaining the benefits of Moodle and you would not need Joomdle.
I recommend you have a closer look at what Moodle does in comparison with your needs. Then decide what is the "best" approach for you for managing your courseware. Perhaps it's Moodle, perhaps not. If it is Moodle than Joomdle may help you out. If it's not Moodle, then you do not have a need for Joomdle.
