XML-RPC Enabled per hosting company but not per Health Check was created by Amy
My hosting company (shared) has stated that XML-RPC is enabled and sent me this link with what's supported (
wiki.dreamhost.com/What_We_Support
) but The system health check and the php info in Joomla don't show XML-RPC is enabled.
Any ideas?
They said I might try a custom php.ini. . . . I'm totally in over my head but really want this to work. That link says something about a phprc file. . . . what would I put in one of those???? (Here's the info on those topics they sent me wiki.dreamhost.com/Php.ini )
Joomla's installed at: www.reflectivescrapbooking.com
Moodle's installed at: www.reflectivescrapbooking.com/rsclassroom
Is there any other info I should include?

Hi.
To know if XMLRPC is enabled, you just need to look at phpinfo results, and look for xmlrpc.
As for enabling it with a custom php.ini, that it something your hosting company will need tell you how to do it, since they are providing the service.

To add to Antonio's comment. Looking at the Joomdle wiki you can see the information that you should see from your php info. The second image down the page is what you are looking for

Note: From Joomla backend goto help/system info/php info

I've looked in the PHP Info and there's not an XML-RPC section- yet the hosting company says its enabled.

I would just show them your php info and/or ask them which library etc. Which hosting company are you using? I have come across one or two that said they had it loaded but they really didn't
