Automatic Enrollment Questions was created by Curt
Hey all,

I'm looking for a little help here. I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to auto-enroll a course buyer in moodle via the purchase process. I have Joomla 1.5.21, Moodle 1.9, Joomdle .51 and Virtuemart 1.1.8. I have the cost for one of my courses set to $0.00 to allow for testing and Paypal is the only payment method I have enabled. When a user adds a course to the cart and attempts to check out, it makes them register on the site, causing a user to be created in Joomla AND Moodle. After the transaction is complete, the user receives a joomla user confirmation and a Purchase Order confirmation with the transaction details. I have the download option enabled, but the download link is not sent to the user in either email. I'm not even sure if I need the download option enabled or not. There is no link sent to the user to login to the course and when you attempt to go to the moodle home page and login, there are no courses available. I have Joomdle set as the only enabled enrollment method and it is set to default. What else could I be missing? Please let me know if there is any other information you need. I'm sort of stuck. I want to be able to allow someone to buy a course and then receive a link via email to access the course. Also, I want to be able to use the Joomla "wrapper", but it just seems to redirect to moodle.

Let's work on one issue at a time.

What happens when you change the course cost to an amount, say $10. With VM, there is no post processing capabilities like with Tienda. So the way to perform the auto enrollment is when paypal sends a positive confirmation. By setting the amount to $0 you are by passing paypal.

I suggest you set up a paypal sandbox account, set a value at $10 (or anything non zero) and try that. Alternatively, if you set a cost and purchase in real paypal, you can always refund 100% to yourself. But this is against paypal terms and conditions ie testing with a real account.

For your second issue, can you be a little more specific. Eg. what views, modules, etc. are you using to link to moodle?
