New Set Up Question was created by Melissa Keen
Hello,

I'm getting ready to set up a new Joomla/Moodle/VirtueMart site and I would like to know if I need to install Joomla, Moodle, and VirtueMart separately and then Joomdle or can I install the Joomla/VirtueMart combo version and then Moodle and then Joomdle? Many thanks.

Would also like to know if the authorize.net patch really works -- I've read conflicting info.

Thanks!

Sure you can install VM and Joomla first. The order is really up to you as long as you understand that if you want to have Joomdle working correctly it needs a Moodle there. If you want Joomdle integrated with VM then VM must be there :) So your order is fine.

The authorize.net patch is working as developed for that particular user. We do not have our own authorize.net environment to perform continued development on it however, changes / updates to Joomdle should not affect the authorize.net patch as it is a VM patch. I would suggest that before you try hooking up Joomdle and authorize.net ensure that you are able to buy other products through authorize. Only once this process is working, then integrate it to Joomdle. This will help to isolate any errors along the way should they exist.
