[Closed] how to hide Joomdle connector in Moodle was created by adamtong
Hi, I just realize that teachers can enroll Joomdle connector (the system role to connect Joomla and Moodle) in a course and it is visible for all users in Moodle.
How to make Joomdle Connector invisible?
Thank you.

Have no idea and you are the first to ask about this.
So far, I have not even looked at this yet nor I have seen anything over at Moodle.org which talks about such things but then, I have not been looking either.
To me, it does seem like a reasonable thing to do ie hide it. I'll have a play when I have a chance over the weekend.

thank you very much.
As my joomdle site will open for teachers to create course and enroll students. I just worry the teachers will mistaken add Joomdle Connector as the students or do anything that harm the system.

Hi there,
Had a quick look at this and confirm that the connector is visible to teachers. Also, you may notice that the moodle administrators are not visible. So perhaps changing the joomdle connector role would help - this will require some testing. I can probably try this some time towards the end of this coming week.
Also, in the mean time, you may want to search moodle.org as the "connector" is a moodle requirement and I am sure other moodle users would have similar concerns.
Let me know if you find anything out from moodle side.
Chris

hi, thank you for your kind reply and help. But I double check that the role "teacher" or "course creator" can enroll "administrator" in a course.
the Admin is also visible for teacher.
I am using Moodle 2.0 and 2.1 for this testing.
Thank you so much.

Yes that is what I noticed as well. Personally, I feel this is something you need to tackle with moodle.org. I believe this is valuable feedback for them. I will close out this thread as it is a moodle issue rather than a joomdle one.
Thanks
