[Solved] XML-RPC Error (0): Invalid response value detected #1
I have installed moodle and joomdle and they look to work fine.
Created some menus for joomdle and to the following menu: buy courses and course teachers have this error:

XML-RPC Error (0): Invalid response value detected, execution can not continue.

Please help by giving your joomla, moodle and joomdle versions.

Does the system health check show all green ticks?

Is the XML-RPC library installed and enabled?

Thank you for your reply,

joomla version 1.5.23
moodle version 2.0
joomdle version 0.51
system health check all green tickets.
Where to check if XML-RPC library installed and enabled?
take a look at the website www.kirkhayat.com/new2 k
go to eLearning menu and check all the submenus.

You may want to upgrade your Joomdle to 0.54 as it has better error reporting.

Also, I click down through the course categories and was not able to get that error

www.kirkhayat.com/new2/index.php?option=...t&Itemid=142&lang=en k

I did find the xml error when looking at your course teachers. Which teachers view are you using? If using the course teachers, you need to specify the course in the parameters field. If you do not you will get an xml error. Of course this error message is not so nice, but at least it will disappear when the parameter is field in.

Let me know if this is your problem.

Thank you for your reply,
I uninstalled joomdle 0.51 and installed 0.54 nothing changed and also users were not created automatically in moodle even though system check is all ok. Or do I have to configure moodle again as i did with the first install not just uninstaling 0.51 and installing 0.54?
So i installed again 0.51 again.

This XML error is possible shown because there not yet any course or teacher?

Yes it is quite possible that you will get errors if you have no information in moodle. Whether is an xml-rpc error will depend on the specific links etc.

Just create a simple course with default topics, add a course description and a few html pages. Also, note that some of the joomdle menu options have parameters and without them you can get errors too. Eg. The Course Teachers view has a parameter for the course. You need to select the course to display the teachers.

So first is to have a normal joomla and a normal moodle working. Then get the integration done.

Yes, that was the problem.
Now they work.
I have a question relating buy courses.
I have installed virtue mart and want to send courses with VM.
Can I use every payment I use with VM?
I have configured paypal in Vm but when buy couses ridirect me to paypal I get this :

We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com k.

You will need to set up your VM to work with Paypal correctly.

My advise, would be to get VM and paypal running correctly first (ie before integrating Joomdle). Only once you successfully get that working, should you look at VM.

You specific message looks like it is associated to your Paypal configuration inside VM.

You can see from this link in the wiki k that some work has been done on integrating other payment processors.

Just note that those were done for specific projects and your situation could be different. If you require something different, we could do a custom development project for you which would need to be scoped and costed.
