[Solved] Problems with paypal not enrolling users was created by Ruth Cheesley
Hi folks,
Joomla! 1.5.23
Moodle 2.1.1 (Build: 20110801)
Virtuemart 1.1.7a (I know it's out of date)
Joomdle 0.54
I've tried using both the regular PayPal and new PayPal, in both sandbox and live mode, and the user is not being enrolled on the course in Moodle despite the fact that the transaction is sucessful and the status is updated to confirmed (when in test mode I get the IPN notifications).
Enrollment plugins are enabled in the order as follows (I couldn't find any reference to this in the wiki btw so no idea if this is correct or if some should be disabled?)
Joomdle
Manual enrolments
Guest access
Self enrolment
Cohort sync
I've tried purchasing single courses and bundles, but neither are getting enrolled - I'm sure it's a setting or something amiss but can't figure out what/where!

You know when you hit submit and then have an 'aha' moment??!!
Think I might have found the problem, all the courses we had created did not have the Moodle enrolment method specified under Users>Enrolment methods in the individual course (despite it being at the top of the enrolment plugins globally).
Gee what a fun job I have now, setting each course to have the Moodle enrolment active
Here's hoping it fixes the problem!

Do you mean internal enrolments?
Yes, that needs to be enabled in the course for Joomdle enrolments to work.

Alas, spoke too soon - even with the joomdle enrolment method adding, still no courses being enrolled.
Antonio:
I only had manual enrolment enabled on the course itself, Joomdle wasn't added as an enrolment method. I've added it now, but still not getting any enrolments, even with live paypal.

Internal enrolments? I don't see that anywhere, care to enlighten me?

Yep, the order is Joomdle at #1 and Manual Enrolments #2 - I couldn't find this information, or anything to do with the enrolment plugin, in any of the documentation walkthroughs on the wiki (perhaps I am blind as a bat or I missed it!)

So, manual is "on", but it still does not work, right?
I shoud probably add some more info to the wiki...
Are orders being confirmed in VM? Maybe IPN is not working fine.

Yes, both are enabled.
Yes, the orders are being changed to 'confirmed' in the back end (in VM). Just no courses are being assigned! Frustrating ++!
